I remember that being a pretty brutal deck and definitly above the standard burn deck.

Instead of Wraths you can get Day of Judgments. It doesn't bury the creatures, but honestly I don't think that will be a huge problem, and they are cheaper I believe.

Well, denying the opponent the ability to regenerate them does have its benefits. Personally the thing I like about Balance is that it makes the opponent sacrifice the creatures, so it even gets rid of indestructible ones. But since I'm already thinking of a downgrade, Day of Judgment might work I suppose.

Only other thing I can suggest is catastrophe its msna cost is a bit more but on cardshark they are an all mighty dollar. I also still have mine although its gotten beaten up over the years.

There's a card I haven't seen in years. I like the appeal of making sure the creatures can't regenerate, and the ability to destroy lands instead if I wanted to would be situationally nice (I could always sacrifice all mine to Zuran Orb first and get a bunch of life, after all). But it's rather costly, mana-wise. 6 mana is more than a third of the total lands in my deck, after all.
I might be able to make it work, though I would definitely lose a little speed. It's worth considering though, since my deck actually doesn't rely on a quick kill.

Yeah the cost is an issue. I found out running my licid deck through a couple of games the cost between Cessation and Pacifisim is just 1 but it makes all the difference.

And maybe some good old Fireballs for our oh so common multi-player games.

Chris, I know you're just yanking my chain because of what I said in the second post, but I still think Ball Lightning sucks. I actually kinda like its little brother Spark Elemental, but I like the idea of this deck being completely creatureless too much to add any. Ken, I do think I could use another X spell or two in here, but I've never been that fond of Fireball. This deck isn't well suited to multiplayer anyway. If I try to take someone on quickly, I either make myself a target for others or I spread my burn spells out too far to really beat anybody. But if I wait too long, I'm the only one without a bunch of creatures. I do have some board sweepers, and I'd have more if Wrath of God were cheaper to buy, but it's still a problem. The deck does better in 1 on 1 situations, where it actually plays more like a control deck.

True enough. I'm not sure whats expensive to you or how many Wraths you need, but Pastimes has Revised Wraths for $5.

I almost bought a bunch of them last time I was at Pastimes, but I ended up going over my budget on some other things to I put them back. I don't remember if they were $5 at the time or a little more. Either way, I don't really want to spend any money on it right now.
