We all think some cards are totally BS. Which ones do you consider utter bulls***? I will list a few of mine, some of which are obvious: Legacy Weapon Visara the Dreadful Traumatize Epic Struggle Mortal Combat Wellwisher There are more that I think are bulls***, but those are the ones I can think of for now. Oh, and then there is the unquestionable, most bulls*** thing ever printed on a piece of cardboard: Platinum Angel If I EVER have one of these played in a Magic game in which I am participating, I will burn/rip/otherwise destroy it, and beat the person who played it senseless.

There are 4 others like Epic Struggle and Mortal combat. It comes out to one for each color and one for all 5. Each with a different method of winning.

I know about them. Trust me, I'd add them to the list if I knew what they were called.

Oh man, I don't know what to tell you guys, but the cards that have been thus mentioned are not remotely playable (aside from Scepter). Quite honestly there are much better options for any card listed here. Platinum Angel is tough, but consider that there are INF cards that can deal with her. And how is upwelling BS? That card is a poor choice no matter the deck, play against most people and you'll get one of two responses: advice on a better choice for that card's spot in your deck, or complete laughter. Silver Seraph??? Why the hell wouldn't you just run Glorious Anthem, or Leonin Sun Standard, or Coat of Arms? I just don't get it.

Silver Seraph??? Why the hell wouldn't you just run Glorious Anthem, or Leonin Sun Standard, or Coat of Arms? I just don't get it. Because Silver Seraph provides a larger bonus than Glorius Anthem, Leonin Sun Standard constantly costs mana every time you want a bonus, and Coat of Arms can help your opponent just as much or more than it helps you if they're playing a creature theme deck as well.

but Seraph costs 5WWW!!! with that kind of cost a sun standard will give you +4/+4 or you'll be able to get a second anthem out with a horde of little creatures. Seraph is by no means a good card, if you put it into a deck, you'll find yourself working hard to get it onto the table instead of winning.

I think it seems more BS than it really is because it is in an angel deck with Belbe's Portal and that deck usually only gets played in multiplayer games. In a one on one game, that card usually won't get into play. and i can guarantee that 4 will never make it into play.

Are you aware that you posted the counter for your most hated card as a BS card in the same post?

How do you figure? As soon as you tap a land for mana, the rest of them go instantly tapped. Sure, with Upwelling you can build up enough mana to cast a spell, but it's still way too slow.
And Jack, surely you know that there are literally dozens of ways to get creatures into play without paying their casting cost. Silver Seraph may be expensive to cast the normal way, but that doesn't mean you have to play it the normal way.

I'd like to make a response to this thread in general. There are reasons that a lot of the newer cards may be in some peoples opinions as called here, "BS" cards. It is b/c Wizards is targeting a lot of their efforts to tournament players because it is in them they make the most money. And so, people involved in tournaments don't have time to guess if their deck is good or hope it will be fast enough. They need it to be b/c they invest money just to get into tournaments and it is either sink or swim, no inbetween, which is why their decks reflect this and why a lot of the new cards are being made the way they are. So just keep that in mind the next time you outright call a card BS, b/c some members are being taken aback by these posts.

You are of course entitled to your opinion, but I still respectfully disagree with you and maintain that cards such as some of the ones here mess with the game too much and should not have been printed.
