Well, two of us now have decks that fit the Highlander format except for the 100 card requirement. If we dropped the requirement to 70 or 60 then we could totally play a Highlander game.

Also, I was taking a look at the Commander format. The Wikipedia article I linked on the first page contains an explanation of it, but I found another page that explains the rules better. I'd try to sum them up here, but that page just does it better than I could. My own Legend deck does not meet the requirements for Commander, both because it's 100 cards and because no matter who I chose as my commander, I would have illegal cards in my deck. If on the other hand, I added a five-colored Legend like say Cromat, then that could be my commander and I'd be okay. Thing is, the only five colored legends I can think of that I have are Sliver Queen and Sliver Overlord, neither of which would be that good of a fit (although I suppose the Queen would do in a pinch). Commander sounds fun to me, but it's even more restrictive than Highlander so I doubt we'll get to try it out anytime soon. |

yeah commander is a lot of fun, but a little difficult to get a deck going for it.

Bumping this topic because I go looking for it every once in awhile, and have trouble finding it.
I still think we should do these sometime. I tried a game of Commander and it's fun, though I don't know what kind of deck I would build for it.
