i saw this started on another thread on the board and thought it deserved its own thread. so here it is! [insert applause] so, obviously the question is: What are your favorite five sets?
in order of greatest to least:

I'd have to rank mine:
Tempest
Ice Age
Weatherlight
Scourge
4th Edition
I couldn't bring myself to vote for a core set older than 4th because the Power 9 are just insane.

I like the set. I especially like the set because you actually have to think to make decks with it. The problem is it is useless in type two, because nothing stops the decks in the Mirrodin block right now from Kamigawa. So unfortunetly Mirrodin will dominate type two until it is rotated out a year from now. That is unless the next few sets shut down decks like affinity and the others cold in their tracks. Of course their are ways to shut down affinity now, but not from Kamigawa really.

the thing is, if the shut down affinity, Tooth and Nail will probably hit it big in T2. chances are, the dominant T2 deck will be a mirrodin based deck until it rotates out.
