There is something i've always been wondering. In D&D, what is the difference between a demon, and a devil?

Kefka gives a good start, but there's more to it than that.
As he said, demons are chaotic evil and devils are lawful evil. As such, they behave very differently.
Let me quote the basic descriptions in the Monster Manual:
Devils, on the other hand...
Basically, devils are more orderly, more calculating, in their evil, whereas the demons just wanna get out there and spread the destruction.

I do sometimes. I mostly just craft the skeleton of the campaign, my friend does the actual DM'ing. I prefer to use my lvl 13 sorcerer as a PC. It's more fun that way. Can't beat Undeath to Death, which my sorcerer has the fortune of knowing. Such a happy spell that is.
