I just finished the series. I am very impressed with J. Robert King. Very good trilogy. some of the best books i've ever read. the end surprised the hell out of me. Especially when he revealed who Lord Macht (creator of Mirrodin) truly is.

"Lord Macht?" Sorry, but that's a pretty cheesy name, given that "macht" is German for "make." It's always funny to see things like that.

hehehe, i didn't know that. Lord Macht is one hell of a maker. He created an entire plane in a mere 100 years

On a side note, "macht" can also be "do."

So, what about the books made them good? The two M:tG books that I read utterly failed to impress, so I'm interested in hearing whether these are truly better than the ones I read, or whether we simply have different tastes.
