You understand the rules of the game. That by itself sets you above Adam Zielinski.
And no, I don't see any overall strategy, unless a bunch of low-cost creatures is a strategy. I am not sure why you are having trouble beating this deck, but I would suggest that as a counter you build a quick deck of your own. My favorite response to fast creature decks is either another, faster creature deck, or red direct damage.

Through an awful mishap, I went to quote Arcades Sabboth's post and accidentally edited it instead. Therefore the original post has been lost. I'll try and sum up what he said: Basically, his roommate built a deck consisting of about 100 cards, mostly cheap, inexpensive and unspectacular creatures like Zephyr Falcon, Giant Crab, and Rootwater Hunter. He has thus far had a lot of difficulty beating a deck put together by a Magic newbie, and wonders if he should just give up playing Magic altogether. Also, there was something about a Magic-playing monkey. Arcades, I'm once again terribly sorry for this screw-up. Please add anything I may have forgotten in my summary of your lost post.

Since when is losing a bad thing? Keep trying; the deck is bad in your opinion? Maybe its not as bad as originally thought.

Build yourself a new deck, become more aggressive. I think that'll help.

first of all never runa deck more than 60 cards in it. unless its some wierd combo, like a 250 card deck, used by that card that makes u win the game auto maticly!
