Trinisphere and Chalice of the Void

If I play Trinisphere, then Chalice of the Void with 3 charge counters, will it counter things that ordinarily cost less than 3, but now cost 3 because of the Trinisphere?

For example, if I have both Trinisphere and Chalice in play, will an Ornithopter, which now costs 3 to play, be countered?

No it won't. Trinisphere doesnt change the converted mana cost, which is what Chalice looks at. Trinisphere just changes what you pay.
