if i have a Phantom Centaur and it gets hit by a Recoil, what happens? does the centaur have protection because the recoil is part black, or do i have to find some kind of "protection from multicolor" card? |

Recoil cannot target Phantom Centaur at all because it is a black spell as well as a blue spell. Multicolor is not a color in itself. A multicolor spell is considered to be each of the colors it's made up of, in this case black and blue. Therefore, a creature with protection from any of those colors cannot be targeted by the spell.
