I know most of you here just play casual, unrestricted Magic games, so here's something that I think might motivate you guys into working in a Block format: I have a feeling that Grinding station* is going to be the heart of a new block deck type. I want to see which one of you guys can break this card in the block format. Remember, only cards in Mirrodin, Darksteel, and Fifth Dawn are allowed. Here's a tip for you guys, considering all the Artifact removal that's in block decks now, Welding Jar is a must both for protecting your station and using it efficiently.

Tap, Sacrifice an artifact: Target player puts the top three cards of his or her library into his or her graveyard.
Whenever an artifact comes into play, you may untap Grinding Station.

To clarify, the challenge is to build the best block deck around Grinding Station, breaking it entirely if possible?

That's it. You guys seem to come up with some creative deck ideas, just wanted to see what you could do with the limited resources of a Block format, and a deck that would be based around decking your opponent instead of doing 20 damage. In case you guys don't use it, Magic workstation is a GREAT program for deck design and testing, it would help out a lot if your trying to do this.

I have a deck plan in the works, but I think we should PM you our finished decks so we don't steal ideas off each other.

PMing me the decks is fine. And no, you do not have access in block format, half the challenge is working with only 636 cards including basic lands and their artwork variations.
