Yes, I named a deck that, well, it will be called that if I ever get it finished. The idea is that there might be a commons tournament coming up in my area and I am redesigning a damage/creature deck for it. In the past they have quite well with the "no tactics, just hit them" idea, bit it has been many years since I last played in a tourny, let alone a commons one. There is 1 bonus for me though, the organisers (if it happens) have stated that any Magic common ever printed is allowed. Here's what I have so far, if anyone has alternatives, let me know  8 Swamps8 Mountains4 Lightning Bolt4 Volcanic Hammer4 Incinerate4 Terror4 Dark Ritual4 Fireball4 Soul Burn4 Raging Goblin4 Bog Rats3 Frightcrawler3 Severed Legion2 Bog ImpI have had luck with similar decks before, but I am a bit out of date with Magic these days, so any help in fine tuning it would be very appreciated. |

I'd say drop the Bog Rats for either Carrion Rats or Carnophage. Sure, they both have drawbacks, but that power of 2 really helps. Also, will this commons tournament allow sideboards? If so, make sure to pack some artifact removal (like Shatter, Echoing Ruin, or some such). |

Oops! I'd forgotten all about Shatter, lol. I do have plenty of Carrion rats, but I am trying to keep the mana cost of all of the spells as low as possible,I want smoe  or  cost cretures Carrion Ratswould make good in the side board though Shatter will go into the main deck though, just got to shuffle some things |

A Cabal Coffers or two can really make that Soul Burn more fun than it already is. |

Only problem with Cabal Coffers is that it isn't a common  However, if I use the deck for regular play they will be going in there. Same with Carrion Rats I went made when Torment came out and I have at least 10 of each card from that set, lol. |

Gotta love the black-themed set, hmm? Say, you wouldn't mind mailing 4 each of Tainted Peak and Tainted Isle all the way from Wales to Illinois in the US, would you? |

Lol, not got 4 each of those spare at the moment, they are all in decks. I have plenty of Tainted Fields floating about in a folder though, but all of them are foil  I have also added 3 Shatters to the deck, removing 1 each of the Incinerates, Volcanic Hammers and Soul Burn. 1 more Shatter is in what will become the side board. |

what about organ grinder? they are fairly common and put those used burn spells to good use |
