I suppose I could add Puppet Strings, but I would have to take them out of my Vampire Deck (another deck in dire need of improvement).

Most of your creatures already cause discard, so I don't really see the need for Larceny. Hermetic Study and Dimir Infiltrator could also go, in that case. I'd suggest either adding Geth's Grimoire to combo with your discard stuff, or maybe Rackling, The Rack, or something similar to hurt opponents once you start to empty their hand. Otherwise, looks good. Black/blue is not an angle I had considered for a traditional discard deck (my Shocker deck doesn't count because that's not exactly discard). I like the mana curve, and I think you've chosen your creatures well. I wouldn't bother with Puppet Strings, as you've already got Puppeteer in there, and other than disabling a blocker all they really do for you is combo with Royal Assassin. If you really want more tapping power, Icy Manipulator is not hard to come by these days.

I'm probably going to scrap this deck because Hypnotic Specters are $8 each at Pastimes and $5 each online. Royal Assassins are $6 each at Pastimes and online. FYI, since Pastimes moved their prices have only gotten worse. I'll just try to make another deck I suppose. Unless I can find a suitable alternative.

Oh, I didn't realize you didn't actually have the cards! That changes things a bit. You can substitute Abyssal Specter for Hypnotic without too much damage done to the deck, and those should be somewhat easier to find. Not really sure what to do about the Assassins though.

Well I do have one Hypnotic Specter and two Abyssal Specters so that would cover that. I could have sworn that I had the Royal Assasins though.

Maybe you traded them?

It's possible. Since I haven't seriously played in about 2 years, who knows what could have happened to them.

I found them.
I forgot that they are rares in eigth and ninth edition, and I had them in my rare binder; there were two. I just added a Bounty Hunter to fill the third one's spot as I don't want to spend $5 on one card.

I didn't know you had a rare binder... I"ll have to look in there someday.

I finished the deck. I'll get around to posting its final version later tonight.
