I don't know if anybody else purchases cards online, but sometimes I do. I have found several sites that are good for buying cards:

Troll and Toad has high prices on a lot of things, but occasionally they undercut bigmtg. Cardshark is cards from individual sellers, like a miniature ebay that only sells cards. You can get some pretty good deals there, but keep in mind you pay shipping on every different seller.
