I complain less about Avatar of Woe because I never see anybody play it.

Alright, let's take a crack at this... Avatar of the Mind Casting cost: 6 Creature - Avatar Power/Toughness: 4/6 If an opponent has at least two more cards in hand than you, Avatar of the Mind costs 6 less to play. When Avatar of the Mind deals combat damage to a player, you may draw a card.

Avatar of the mind looks nice at first until I realized that all you would have to do is bounce two permanents using two spells and you could play it for just . Snap anyone?

yes, but its a 4/6 blue creature that doesn't fly, and its only ability comes when it gets around the defenses of the oponents. I think it balanced well.

Hit yourself with Book Burning turn two, and turn three you have a 4/4 with Double Strike, and an extra mana left over for something like a Shock or Bolt.

Avatar of Death Casting cost: 6 Creature - Avatar Power/Toughness: 4/6 If you pay half your life, rounded up, Avatar of Death costs 6 less to play. At end of combat, destroy all creatures blocking or blocked by Avatar of Death. Whenever a creature is put into a graveyard this way, you may put a +1/+1 counter on Avatar of Death.

I complain less about Avatar of Woe because I never see anybody play it. My discard deck has 4 of the blighters in there, but I am nasty. Souless Avatar CC - 6 Creature - Avatar PT - 4/4 If you control 10 or more zombies, Souless Avatar costs 6 less to play. - Remove half of your graveyard from the game and put a 2/2 black zombie creature token into play under your control.
