When you play Insane Troll Logic, tap any number of untapped creatures you control. Then sacrifice up to 3 permanents. Draw X cards, where X is the number of creatures you tapped. Then discard three minus Y cards from your hand, where Y is the number of permanents sacrificed.

I like the idea quite a lot. However, the phrasing seems a bit awkward. The fact that you need a Y variable means there's probably an easier way to say it.

I could probably eliminate the X and just use the Y as X. I just wrote it in a hurry though, so I didn't worry about better phrasing.

That's much better, except I do want it to be clear that you have to tap the creatures before you sacrifice anything. But you get the idea.

would the order really matter? i can't see a reason that it would.

Well, it could if, for instance, you tap the creatures you want to tap, and then sac the ones you just tapped. But no, it doesn't really matter.
