I found this on the Wizards of the Coast message board, and it was so silly I had to copy it and bring it here. Apologies in advance if anybody somehow gets offended:
An excerpt from the Book of Mana:
"And Richard Garfield looked upon the void, and he saw that it was barren.
And so he said, let there be mana! And the five colors of mana swirled into the void, filling it with light. And it was good.
And then he said, let there be a world to hold the mana, that people may wonder at it's glory! And Dominaria was created, and the mana filled it to the brim. And it was good.
And then he said, let there be lands of five kinds, to channel the mana. And across the world, the swamps, and the mountains, and the islands, and the forests, and the plains, appeared and their respective mana flowed into them. And it was good.
And then he said, let there be people, that they may "tap" the mana and Channel it into themselves. And there were people, and it was good.
And the people said, We want to do things with the mana! And so he created spells, that they may be cast with the mana. And it was good.
And then he said, "There are the five colors, and to each I shall grant dominion over their realms. However, to the color blue I grant dominion over all, that it may be broken." And it was so.
And then he rested, so that he may see how he had wrought. And he saw that the foundation of blue mana, the Island, was the source of all purity, and so he said "Let the Island be raised on high, and acknowledged to be the source of my wisdom." And it was so, and from that fount sprang the Power Nine, that they may grace the world.
And it was good.
