[card]skullclamp[/card] SkullclampI decided this card is about an 8. I can see why it's so popular in tournaments and such, particularly type 2, but it's not really one of the greatest cards ever. Since I'm such an old-school gamer and resistant to change, I don't like Equipment as a whole, so I don't use Skullclamp and probably never will, but I won't say it's a bad card.

A very useful card. I could find a lot of uses for it.

It's a useful card, but it was a killer of Magic, seeing as how most decks in tournaments were built around it in some way.

they weren't really built around it, it was just easy to abuse. Raffinity had such an easy time using it because whatever creature they decided to sac to the Ravager, they would clamp also. This would give the ravager a counter (possibly more if it was a modular creature) and get them 2 cards.

Degenerate, and definitely powerful.
However, if you ask me, a well designed card, R&D-wise, if a little irritating in that it failed to be caught.

They should have made it only draw one card. Then it would be playable without being too powerful, and not every single deck would have run it in Standard.
