How would you rank the five Bringers of the various color Dawns? You can rank them differently in Type 2 and overall, if you wish.
Type 2:
1. Bringer of the White Dawn - With the artifact-heavy sets of the current T2 environment, the white Bringer ranks far above the others. The most notable combo is with Mindslaver, in which case you'd better have fast reflexes, or your opponent will punch you.
2. Bringer of the Blue Dawn - Card advantage is a nice thing, and drawing three per turn is likely to net you whatever you want pretty quickly.
3. Bringer of the Black Dawn - Choose your draw every turn = very nice. The only thing keeping this below its blue counterpart in the T2 environment is the fact that dropping life is very dangerous, considering the number of aggro Ravager-Affinity and Goblin decks out there.
4. Bringer of the Red Dawn - Get this in play vs. an affinity deck, and you can either steal their Broodstar, or keep them from pumping their Arcbound Ravager. That is, assuming you can keep the Bringer in play.
5. Bringer of the Green Dawn - There is nothing wrong with getting a 3/3 creature every turn, but this just doesn't compare to the other Bringers in this format.
Overall:
1. Bringer of the Blue Dawn - Card advantage is good. Period.
2. Bringer of the Black Dawn - Basically tutoring every turn is very handy, but there are better ways to do it that you can get quicker, and which don't cost you life or your draw.
3. Bringer of the Green Dawn - Free creatures every turn, which you can sacrifice to all sorts of effects. Or, in a Beast deck, this would be great.
4. Bringer of the White Dawn - There are a lot of artifacts that can end up in your graveyard, but outside the Mirrodin block atmosphere, it's not as common, and therefore its usefulness drops below some of the other Bringers.
5. Bringer of the Red Dawn - Taking one creature isn't as important when there's more than one threat out there, and unless you're playing all five colors, even Insurrection is cheaper to play, with more immediate results.
