It's good. Not the best ever, but, like Champions, it's a breath of fresh air after Mirrodin, and I think the best small set since Judgment. Also, it's got a lot of good rares (although I'm still mad about how crappy Nourishing Shoal is). I'll post more in-depth after my class.

from what i've seen, its got a lot of flavor. i am not gonna vote because i don't know anything more than what i have seen in articles on Wizards.
Yay, someone other than me liked judgement.

Okay, this is a few hours late, but still... Day of Destiny can be a lot of fun. Not that crazy about Final Judgment because to me it's just another Wrath of God, albeit one that can take out indestructible creatures. Kami of False Hope is so much like Spore Frog it's not funny. Yomiji, Who Bars the Way is really cool. And that's pretty much it for white. Blue has a lot of good ninjas, and so does black. However, I've seen a lot of ninja decks already, so I'm kinda getting tired of them. Tomorrow, Azami's Familiar is probably the best blue card that isn't a ninja. Kyoki, Sanity's Eclipse is brutal. Shirei, Shizo's Caretaker is even more brutal. Stir the Grave is not bad. Toshiro Umezawa totally kicks butt, and is possibly the best creature in the set. Blazing Shoal is really nice, and it can let you hit pretty hard with a first turn Raging Goblin. Still haven't made up my mind whether Goblin Cohort is good or not. Heartless Hidetsugu is just begging to be used in some kind of sick combo. Iwamori of the Open Fist is really nice because it's a 5/5 for 4 mana, and if you play it at the right time it has no drawback. Genju of the Realm looks like a ton of fun to play. Makes me wish I had one. And there are a ton of cool artifacts, like Mirror Gallery, Shuriken, Slumbering Tora and Umezawa's Jitte. All in all, Champions is a lot better, but this set still isn't bad.

Rather like ChK, the flavour/storyline is excellent, but the power level is seriously lacking, particularly when compared to Mirrodin block.

They had gold cards all through Odyssey block, and at least in Legions. Other than Unhinged (which as far as I'm concerned isn't a real set), this is the first gold card since then.
And by the way, gold cards look horrible in the new cardface.

I don't remember this being a test to prove me wrong. I used very little from anything beyond Apocalypse that was Gold. So I didn't type my post clearly enough. But I'll make sure to do so next time since you can't say anything wrong on this board without getting corrected.

Sorry, just trying to help. But gold cards still look yucky now.
