I'm always suspicious of people who do this. Think he's really going to put some Power 9 cards into a $4 pack? I seriously doubt it. If he even really has the cards, he's going to keep anything that's worth any serious money and sell it separately a couple weeks or months later. And it's not like you can prove he's lying; after all, just because you didn't luck out and get his Black Lotus doesn't mean somebody didn't, right? Yeah...

I definitely see what you mean and probably why I don't buy many people's collections that are in random repacks, but he has already made $1000s on people buying the random packs, which is more than he probably would make selling every power individually. People just aren't spending $500 or more on power nine today; people list it for that but most never sell. I PMed the people that he posted that did pull moxes, time vaults, dual lands, etc. and they in fact they did, its just not a common thing for people to pull money cards; so chances aren't good.

Or they're in on the scam. Who knows. Only way to be 100% sure is to know the guy personally or to buy the repacks and get one, odds of which are slim to none.
Also, every testimonial from someone that "got one" means one less available in the remaining packs. I suppose it's sort of a Catch-22, in that you want to believe these people really got them because it proves that he really is including the super-rare stuff in his collection, but at the same time you don't want to believe them because that means if they got it it's not there anymore.
