The general idea is to pump my vampires which is what Contagion Engine is for plus it will help kill what I can't steal to use against my opponent.

If you look at the Zendikar set you can find a lot of nasty vampires that I use in my version that are cheaper than the Sengirs, unless you want to use the old school vampires, which I can understand.

I have a soft spot for older cards. Its why I use Serra Angel still. In all seriousness there are better angels now but given at the time how hard i worled to get them and itd an iconic card I keep it in. However since this deck is still just a theory I'll take a peek at the other vampires.

I'm (tentatively) working on a B/R Vampires myself, and wondering if splashing white for Sorin, Lord of Innistrad would be worthwhile, shouldn't be to hard to get a little white mana in games it was needed for Sorin.

An old friend and in fact the one who taught me to play has a black red deck with a splash of white. Hes got some human token generation in it using the white too.
