Ok so I was bored and tired and lately I've been thinking about older stuff. Not going into great detail but I feel old and a lot of old things have come to mind. So this particular restless night it hit me. I thought back to the days of High School and a certain irritating Kobold deck. Not that I remember how it workedo r was supposed to work considering the staggering amount of blatant cheating that went on back then. I was just wondering what would possess someone to build a Kobold deck they are terrible. After doing some reading and I hate copying decks off the internet I made my own Legacy Kobold deck. It is inspired largely by what I've seen but I tried to make it my own. After countless times testing and retesting it I've come to like it. Its 2-0 against my Legacy bear deck. By turn 4 or 5 both time I was able to get my winning combo going. Long story short it involves a looping combo where I bounce Kobolds back and forth from my hand to play with Cloudstone Curio in play then when I've reached my desired number I play Brain Freeze

Oh that's a cool looking deck. I really like all the old cards in it especially the kobolds. I honestly never heard of a kobold deck, but that's because it was long before I started playing I'm sure, but the combo with Brain Freeze is pretty cool.

It would be a bit expensive to build. The Kobolds are old and I can get Itallian prints on trollandtoad for a bit cheaper. The Personal Tutors are where I need to pay. Those run for about 12 to 15 each.

Here's a video of it in action against my bear deck using Cockatrice. Not as fast as a Vintage deck but it was not designed to be one or compete with one. The video quality is lousy I used hypercam to record this. www.youtube.com/watch?v=F0GuyRZXyfc&feature=youtu.be

Ah yes, I remember Captain Kobold. I seem to remember his deck was red and black, though the only black I ever remember seeing was Unholy Strength. I also remember he never tapped his lands for some reason. I mean, I know that a lot of kobolds come in free, but he wouldn't tap his lands even when he played other stuff. Also, that kobold deck was the first time I ever saw Maze of Ith, incidentally, so you can thank this guy and his kobold deck for all the great fun we've had with that card.
