mtg.edd-miles.com/You just type in the cards and how many you want like: 1 black lotus or whatever and its smart enough to pick up the card even you put: 1x black lotus or mox ruby *1 When you have your list in the text box you just click on 'Get Images' and it generates them and even re-sizes them to the right size for you, so all you have to do is print, cut, and sleeve them. If you aren't sure of the card's exact name you can start to type it in the search box and it will pop up another box with possible cards that match your search; really cool.

So Wizards asked the creator of this wonderful Proxy site to take it down! That really upset me at first, but after some thought I guess I can understand why they did it. If a person has a good enough printer and 50,000 grain sand paper they could layer the proxy onto a cheap card and effectively make a very expensive card that looks absolutely perfect to real thing to the naked eye. Still pretty sad about it though regardless.

Though honestly if they would just reprint certain cards they wouldn't have the proxy problem, but they keep saying they made a promise to someone long ago that they can't break.

Yeah, that promise was the Reserve list. But if you look at the list, some of the things that are on it have been reprinted, like Memory Jar. So I don't really know if that promise is worth anything anyway.

Ok I did find a cool alternative. This guy makes proxies for a dollar a card and for the most part they are really good looking; some are a bit too dark but overall they look good. www.youtube.com/user/tanganai/videos

Ok I found a new guy on iOffer.com that does amazing proxies. No lie I bought some from him and its hard to tell them apart form the real thing. His cards are 6.50 each which can really add up so I would reserve them for cards like power 9, workshops, bazaar of baghdads, etc. For some reason the cards aren't showing up in the preview pane of his site, but if you click on a card you get a preview of what they look like. www.ioffer.com/users/armchairathletegamingEdit: I got a hold of his email so just email him asking for certain cards and he will charge you only 5.00 a card since he doesn't have to deal with the iOffer fees; you would need PayPal in that case though. armchairathletegaming@gmail.com

So it seems that lately stores have been getting contacted from Wizards telling them to stop doing tournaments that allow Proxies. This basically means shops now can only allow Vintage tournaments where the players have all their cards and no proxies. If this ends up being true it basically means the end of the vintage format and eventually the end of the legacy format as dual land prices continue to rise.
I'm not particularly fond of tournaments anymore anyway, but I know this had a lot of discussion on themanadrain.com.

Wizards doesn't want Vintage or Legacy to remain healthy, I'm sure they would prefer everyone to have to shell out a few hundred dollars for new product every few months and just play Standard.

Yeah I think your right. They want people to buy the new stuff and really could care a less about the cards from 20 years ago.

What gives Wizards the right to tell stores they can't allow proxy tournaments? I suppose if it's officially sanctioned by Wizards they probably have some control, but if some card shop just wants to have a 5-proxy Vintage tournament and put up some small cash prize or a Beta Mox or something, I don't see how it's any of WotC's business.
