I haven't really been on here my computer crapped out last weekend so I've been borrowing my moms laptop when I get the chance. Usually when I'm on I spend my time playing DC Universe Online. Its pretty cool and this is a shameless promotion for it. The game is absolutly 100% free although it has additional addon content. You get 2 character slots free and have to buy more. Honestly for me 2 is enough. The addon stuff inclues a couple of cheap expansions for more options for character building but I think there's enough as is. Character building is cool because there is no real classes. Its an issue of combining movement mode, weapon, and super powers. My hero is an acrobat who uses gadgets and fights with a staff. My villian dual weilds guns with supersonic speed and has fire powers. There's several options and the level of customization is nice. My hero is crystaline and kinda looks like the fancy Wonder Man when he's all purple. My villian is a white tiger woman.

What I really love on top of the free access is the fact tis a simplified Warcraft. I don't need to studdy a text book on shot rotation and builds and such. There are options for it and it turns out quite by accident my villian is a tank. Its actually not too hard but I have yet ot do it. The games got everything warcraft has with raids, instances and battlegrounds. You can also freely jump between PVP and PVE servers. Those are the only 2 so you don't have to worry about the issue of friends being on different servers. Its only an issue if ones playing on PC and ones playing PS3 thse are seperate.

The game goes to level 30 and you d get to fight alongside and against heres and villians. I have battled Huntress, Bane and Supergirl with my villian. The way the factions work is also cool. You choose a mentor to get your starting missions and there's nly 3 on each side. The other real fun part is the cartoon universe largely seems to be in the same universe. So they managed to get the voice actors for the game. So Batman is the same as in the 90s cartoon and Joker is Mark Hamill. Well, all else I can say is check out the intro movie nmy only complaint is the in game graphics and other cut scenes are not this cool.

Hmm sounds cool. I may finally try this one out. Since I have a PS3 I may just get it for that; gives me an excuse to use it for more than a Blue Ray player and the occasional crappy game that comes out nowadays.

Well, I'm playing PC and that's the only barrier in servers is PC and PS3 are on different servers. Not that its an issue I just thought you should check it out. After about 10 days of har playing I got to 30 now its an issue of getting geared for raids. Its overall more user friendly and much less complicated than warcraft. There's 4 tiers of PVE gear and 2 of PVP gear and the instances are much easier to do. They are fun and not as intimidating. There's solo instances for boss fights, then 4 man dungeons and the raids are an impressive 8 man raid. I imagine overall the PS3 version may be eaier to play I wish I ha a controller for it I get the impression it would be easier to do.

Not that its important but I felt its worth mentioning My villian was teamed up with someone named Mox Jet in a battleground in the bat cave.

Out of boredom with just one character and the desire to make a new one time to show off my new guy. Its sad really only because I lacked the creativity to do something original. At least I'm not one of the many marvel characters running around. I've seen people try to make Hulk as well as Spiderman and several people named after Dr Doom. I at least ripped off my character from a video game.



It's a bit off but I give you Psycho Mantis, or as I sadly had to spell it given the name was taken PsykoMantiss is hovering over a battered Supergirl.

He's pretty cool to play too and I' dipping in both branches of the power tree. There's telekeesis and illusion. elekenesis is self explanitory one of my first abilities I got is the ability to hold a target helpless in the air and have a nearby object smash into them. Illusion is more for crowd control with things like mass fear. It's an interesting character because like with Warcraft you have tanks dps and healing but DC introduced me to the controller role. In addition to all that crap I can do I can also boost allys power in battle. Here everyone uses the blue power bar for superpowers and controllers generally have powers that can replenish others party members spent powers.
