Giant Spider Not in the 2013 Core Set

They took Giant Spider out of the M13 core set. I know the card is pretty useless these days, but I mean its tradition, it was the only card to be in every core set since the beginning. Giant Growth was in every set up until 2012 when they cut it and now Giant Spider has been cut.

That's a shame, they also added in a gold (sorry, multi-colored card. I actually had someone look at me like I was crazy when I mentioned a gold card.) in the form of Nicol Bolas. Though they did troll most of the newer players into thinking shock lands had a legitimate chance of being printed in M13. (though I do think they will be in some form in Return to Ravnica)
