Wow, they're really not even trying anymore.

Yeah that's definitely a new one for Reanimator decks.

The sad part is that really goes against the whole story of the set. She's suppose to protect Humans so that the vampires feeding habbits don't lead to extinction. Not turn the tide of the war completely against the vampires.

Granted there are ways within the Innistrad block to take care of this its still a way broken card. I'd hate to see an angel deck with that and Platinum Angel. Thankfully I play with a sense of honor and will never use either in my deck.

Funny enough on the Legacy forums players are saying they probably won't be using her in their reanimator decks. Basically the reason is that she doesn't do anything special. What they mean by that is she doesn't really directly hurt your opponent. Vigilance is meh in tournaments and most reanimator decks don't have enough out in play for the indestructible ability to be worth much; that and Swords to Plowshares is a pretty common card to see nowadays and her indestructible won't stop it or Path to Exile

Which demonstrates perfectly the flaw in Wizards' thinking. It doesn't change much in tournament play, but it destroys casual play. That's why cards like this should not be made.
If it were up to me, Indestructible would never have been made in the first place, but this is a level even beyond that in terms of ruining casual play.

Thats definitely true and I agree with you, but Wizards cares less about casual players and more about tournament players, specifically drafters. Drafting is their bread and butter. Casual players don't always buy packs, boxes, or even single cards from every set, but drafters and type 2 players definitely do.

Hence why my interest in Magic is at an all-time low, I suppose.

Hence why my interest in Magic is at an all-time low, I suppose. Well I suppose we have to change that by playing more games using my older decks. ;D If only I had a box of Ice Age to draft. Hmm not a bad idea. Maybe we should do a draft between our group. Could be fun.

Well some older boxes are not too expensive if you know where to look. Problem with new cards too isn't just the power level but the power level when combined with non tournament stuff. Like Isochron Scepter was annoying as it was in tournament play but outside of tournaments its one of the easiest cards to abuse.

Oh on a side note we don't even need a box to draft because that may get costly if we can find decenly priced packs we could just buy the packs we need unless we want to do and build more than 1 deck.

I'll draft just about anything i can use more cards but if we want to throw in an element of total chaos i found something that may be fun. Trollandtoad has 3 random packs of booster packs for 10 bucks. So that right there is cheaper than drafting. There is a good chance that can really upset the balance of things like if its new cards and say something like fallen empires. Still it sounds fun but I'm open to other ideas.

Hmm that could be fun; completely unsure what sets you'll get but I can see that going really bad or really good for any given person. We'll figure something out.

I've looked at some booster pack prices and oler ones depending can run for about 4 to 5 bucks a pack. That roughly costs the same as paying to draft. Sadly other packs run 9 bucks and up a pack.
