Basically you mean include a couple tribes, like they do with Spirits, Rats, Snakes, and such? Don't most sets do that anyway?

No, not really. They don't put cards in helping said tribe. CHK did.

Like what? I'm not totally familiar with Kamigawa's spoiler yet.

i believe he means cards that help specific creature types. You know Lord type things. Those are usually only in base sets. Occasionally they will be in a non-creature themed sets, but not that often. Outside of Kamigawa, the only set i can think of is Planeshift (which is where my example is originally from)

Alright, we can make creature tribes a subtheme like that. Back to the question: how many and which ones?

I had a thought: It's pointless to set a limit beforehand of what creature types can be included in the set. Rather, we should only be voting on one or two major types per color, to use as the tribes for the creature subtheme of the set.
Agreements/Disagreements?

3/5, and with both Butcher Orgg(s) and thekadar81 having gone missing in action lately, that's certainly good enough. So now the question is how many main creature types?

One main species per colour, with two or three classes.

i say we have...
soilders, clerics, and wizards be the main creatures for the civilized colors, and barbarians, druids, and shaman for the savage colors.

I like it. And this time around, let's make Wizards playable (Yay!). But those are all classes.
