Endless Scream and Spikeshot Goblin. This one is pretty self-explanatory. Pump up the Goblin's power, and he becomes a very effective cheap direct damage dealer.

If you're looking to use the Spikeshot Goblin for creature destruction, then Death Pits of Rath is definitely useful. Makes the Endless Scream completely unnecessary. I was thinking in terms of damaging players, in which case the Endless Scream makes it extremely nasty.
Just think of that game we played this weekend with my black deck and Volrath's elf deck, when an Endless Scream got my Pit Spawn's power up over 100.....

Recycle, Aluren, and two Timid Drakes. With Aluren and Recycle, a deck with tons of cheap creatures can go on forever, until it hits something it can't play, and then you're stuck for that turn. With two Timid Drakes, your problem is solved. When you have nothing else in your hand you can play, play one Timid Drake, then the other one. In addition to drawing cards for playing the two Timid Drakes, the first Timid Drake comes back to your hand, so if you still have nothing you can play, you can play it again (for free thanks to Aluren) and bounce the other Timid Drake, over and over until you get whatever you want to draw.

Swords to Plowshares and False CureNot only does False Cure negate the life you just gave your opponent when you knocked out his creature, but he actually loses the life.

Armadillo Cloak and Ageless Entity. I just got beat by this one today. In addition to gaining life when you deal damage with the Entity, you will also be doubling his power and toughness every turn. Kinda sick, if you think about it.

Mortuary and Infernal Tribute. Sadistic Glee. Sacrifice a creature put it in your graveyard then to the top of your library pay two mana draw that card and then replay it putting a one one counter on target creature. To cheapen this process make that creature Ornithopter.

I never thought I'd see the day, but there's actually a use for Chimney Imp: 2 Chimney Imps and Recurring Nightmare. Get one imp into the graveyard, the other into play. Use Recurring Nightmare to switch them out every turn, and your opponent will never draw anything new because they will always get the card they're forced to put back on their library.

Heres an interesting combo. Mortuary and Fecundity, so whenever a creature dies, you return it to your hand. Combine it with an Ornithopter or Phyrexian Walker and a way to sacrifice them and you have infinite spells in a turn (Brain Freeze). Add an Ashnod's Altar and you have infinite mana. Use a Nantuko Husk to amke an arbitrarily large creature. Add Aluren and you can use all sorts of comes into play and leaves play abilities. Lots of fun stuff to do with this.

Here's the ultimate lock. Isochron Scepter with Orim's Chant imprinted on it. After that with just 2 mana you can prevent them from playing spells on their turn. Pay one extra white mana and and the creatures they already have out cant attack. Unless the deck was totally instants it woulld be totally crippled.

I've run into that Isochron/Orim's Chant combo, and it sucks all the fun out of the game. Effective, but irritating.
